Kakum National Park- Kakum National Park is a Cape Coast favorite for tourists traveling to Ghana, Africa. Situated 30 Kilometers North of Cape Coast, getting to Kakum National Park can be done by using tro-tro, the Ghanaian form of shared taxi or minibus, or a private taxi. Established in 1931, this 375 square kilometers national park is one of the most famous national parks in Ghana and is also one of only two places in Africa with a canopy walkway. Home for nature lovers, the rainforest canopy walkway is elevated 40 meters above the forest floor and is 350m-long, providing a unique as well as a breathtaking view of the rainforest fauna that cannot be seen from the ground. From bird watching tours to forest walk, from rainforest canopy walkway to medicinal plant tours, there are a plethora of fun and exciting things to do in the kakum National Park. Add to that, the park welcome center contains a picnic area, a restaurant, camping area among many others.
